The Board is responsible for the implementation of the Fund’s investment objectives and policies as specified in its Memorandum and has overall responsibility for its activities. Its main task is to undertake the day-to-day management and control of the Fund, making investment and divestment decisions and taking advice and recommendations from Plenty Investment Advisors Limited.
Rubina , Chief Operating Officer, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in
England and Wales and holds a BSc (Hons) from the University of Manchester. Prior to joining SANNE
Mauritius in March 1999, she was a Senior Manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers (Mauritius), with
particular exposure in the financial, textile and tourism sectors, including management of overseas
projects financed by international financial institutions such as the World Bank.
She had previously
worked for KPMG (Manchester) for 6 years, where she specialized in the Banking and Finance sector
and Value for Money audits. She has over 30 years’ experience in accountancy, auditing, tax and
consultancy. Her area of specialization is on fund structuring, set up and administration.

Pratap is the founder of Kings Maxim Consultants, a firm advising clients on legal and commercial matters. He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce and holds a L.L.B from the University of Pune, India and L.L.M from the University of Houston, Texas, U.S.A.
He has several years of experience across functions and industries and international experience in solving complex issues in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Mexico, Argentina, Philippines, India, BVI, Hong Kong, Finland, UAE, Oman and Switzerland.
He previously worked for Krupp Industries (formerly Backau Wolf) as Legal and Commercial Manager responsible for drafting, negotiating and contract management for turnkey projects with special focus on sugar, cement and material handling industries.
He has headed the legal team at Jaywir Group of Companies (one of the largest manufacturers if mass market fragrances with operations in 30+ countries), Jumbo Group of Companies (leading electronics distributor and retailer with interests in Distillery/Brewery businesses, real estate, engineering etc.) and Rosy Blue Group (largest diamond manufacturers in the world).
Suresh is currently Executive Chairman & Founder of Symphony Capital Limited, Mauritius.
He is a Fellow of the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, India in Finance and Accounting
(equivalent to Doctorate in Business Management) and graduated with a Masters in Economics from
Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India.
He had a banker career with over three decades of experience globally. He skills in banking transformation and has strong leadership to achieve business results and high performing teams across geographies. He served on the Board of a number of companies since early 1990s in various industries including financial services, automotive, and hospitality.
Harold is the founder of Weiss Consultinvest, an advisory and consultancy firm. He has
extensive experience in asset management, investment research and private equity.
In 1973, he began his business career with Union Bank of Switzerland (now UBS) in Zurich in the bond
and equity financing department and after that for five years in equity research. He holds an
economic diploma from the Chamber of Commerce in Zurich. In 1996, he attended an executive
management program at IMO business school in Lausanne in Switzerland. He is a member of SFAA
Swiss Financial Analysts Association.
From 1980 until May 1998, he worked in the private banking sector in Zurich. Under his guidance a
long/short equity hedge fund was created and successfully placed among as client base.
From June 1998 to January 2010, he was actively engaged in the private equity fund investment
business. Under his leadership, Swiss Re Private Equity Advisors became with more than USD 5
billions of fund commitments a well-respected provider of private equity products and services within
the investment community. As head of the firm, he supervised a team of twenty people in Zurich and
In December 2006, the business was sold to Horizon21, an alternative asset manager in
Switzerland. As the CEO of Horizon21 Private Equity, he was instrumental in the successful
integration of the two teams.
Later, he was in charge of the build-up of the Asian private equity
practice. He served on the company's board of directors as their delegate. He also was a member of
the investment committee and represented the general partner on multiple advisory boards of
private equity funds across Asia -Pacific. In January 2010, Horizon21 sold back its private equity
activities to Swiss Re.
Vehlen, Associate Director, at SANNE Mauritius, is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants UK, and holds a BSc degree in Accounting with Finance from the University of Mauritius.
He has been with SANNE Mauritius (formerly known as International Financial Services Limited) for more than 13 years and have developed in depth knowledge of the financial services sector coupled with practical know-how on the operating, regulatory and compliance aspects for global business entities. He heads a team of more than 25, and currently oversees a portfolio of over 125 financial and non-financial services entities (including mutual funds, private equity funds, investment holding companies and trusts). He serves as a director of a number of global business companies.
Resmah , Senior Manager, is a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified
Accountants, UK. She joined SANNE Mauritius (formerly known as International Financial
Services Limited) in 2005 after graduating from the University of Mauritius with
a BSc (Hons) in Accounting with Information Systems.
Resmah has led a number of units at SANNE Mauritius and secured
wide ranging skills including in financial reporting, fund accounting, legal, tax,
administration, Anti-Money Laundering and corporate secretarial fields.
Resmah also spearheaded the successful setting up of SANNE Mauritius’ CIS-Fund
Accounting Unit in 2011, including coaching talents on a sophisticated IT platform.
She was responsible for the daily operations of the unit covering inter alia Net
Asset Value calculation, registrar, investor reporting, general accounting and
After 2.5 years co-heading the CIS-Fund Accounting Unit team of 15 members, she
moved to lead another team of 15 people having the responsibility for a portfolio of
more than 130 entities, including collective investment schemes, close-end funds,
investment holding companies and trusts. Since 2 April 2018, Resmah heads SANNE’s
Centre of Excellence for financial reporting. She is responsible for operational
effectiveness of the division’s financial reporting offering to all Sanne’s

Shamilee is a Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) UK, and has graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical and Environmental Engineering from the University of Mauritius.
She has been with SANNE Mauritius for over 10 years and has developed in-depth knowledge of the financial services sector coupled with practical know-how on the operations, regulatory and compliance aspects for global business entities. She has also been involved in fund structuring and set-ups and has been exposed to the main areas of the industry including legal, tax, accounting, administration and corporate secretarial. As Associate Manager, she currently is a senior member of and heads a small team in the Closed End Fund Unit, a specialised unit looking after Private Equity Funds, Investment Managers / Advisors and Special Purpose Vehicles.
Baljinder is an Entrepreneur, Investor and Corporate Advisor. He graduated with a degree in
electrical, electronics and communication engineering from the National Institute of Technology,
Jaipur, India and worked for HCL Ltd, a leading information technology services group.
After a short
but fruitful career in the IT services industry he has since been involved in building entrepreneurial
ventures in the education, technology, investment banking and telecommunication industry.
He maintains a keen interest in the global startup ecosystem and has personally contributed to the
design and delivery of a course on entrepreneurship development.
His further education includes an MBA from University of Mauritius, an Advanced Management
Program from Indian School of Business, a course on Private Equity and Venture Capital and another
course on M&A and Corporate Restructuring from the Harvard Business School.
He sits on Board of both public listed and private companies.
He is based in Mauritius and has extensively worked in the India-Africa corridor over the last twenty
